Grammy Awards 2010

Hi my stars! Okay, well the Grammy Awards 2010 are only six days away and I am super excited to see what my faves are going to pull out of the old hat both on the red carpet and on the stage. Scheduled to perform are a few of my faves such as, Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift. Lady Gaga has five nominations: Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Best Dance Recording for "Poker Face," and Album Of The Year and Best Electronic/Dance Album for The Fame. Beyoncé leads with 10 nominations: Record Of The Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for "Halo"; Album Of The Year and Best Contemporary R&B Album for I Am…Sasha Fierce; Song Of The Year, Best Female R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Song for "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)"; Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance for "At Last"; Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for "Ego" (with Kanye West); and Best Song Written For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media for "Once In A Lifetime" from Cadillac Records. Taylor Swift has eight nods: Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for "You Belong With Me"; Album Of The Year and Best Country Album for Fearless; Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals for "Breathe" (with Colbie Caillat); and Best Female Country Vocal Performance and Best Country Song for "White Horse." The 52nd GRAMMY Awards will take place live on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, at Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast in HDTV and 5.1 Surround Sound on the CBS Television Network from 8–11:30 p.m. (ET/PT). Weekend Excursion

Hi stars! Sorry for the late posts but I have had a bit of an extended vacation. I actually went out of town this weekend and had a date with a long time friend of mine. We started by going to a wonderful dinner @ Ruby Tuesday. By the way, has anyone noticed how they are going for this upscale look? Child, I guess.... but, all that aside, the dinner and wine selection was superb. After dinner and (more than...) a few drinks we decided to go see this new movie, Legion. This movie stars Tyrese, Paul Bettany, Lucas Black and Charles S Dutton and is about the fall of humanity through the hands of angels sent by God to destroy the human race. Now, I am all for a good thriller, but this movie was crazy as hell. Sort of in the same vein as Drag Me To Hell or something like that. If you are going to be going to the movies soon, be sure to check it out. It was a hoot but definitely not appropriate for children. Well, I just wanted to share that with my stars. Loves Ya!

Inspirations @ Home

Okay, I have decided to do a new segment that we can call Inspirations @ Home for right now. Sometimes it is easy to overlook the beauty that is right there in your own hometown. Although I am frequently inspired by things that are typically more exotic and futuristic, I still do enjoy the burgeoning small city feel of my stomping ground, Greenville, SC. So, periodically, I will be putting up people and places locally that catch my attention. This is an ongoing segment so stay tuned to see how Your Fabolousness is living.

The Future of Gaming

The future of 3D gaming is almost upon us and it goes by the codename, Natal. This is a next generation gaming system that can talk to you and allow you to interact with the game world without the use of a controller. Sounds like an advertisement for a sci fi flick but this peripheral is set to take the gaming world by storm. Unlike Nintendo Wii, which has revolutionized motion control in gaming, Natal requires no use of a handheld controller. You control the game with your body. Natal provides full 3D motion capture as well as facial and voice recognition. This sounds like it can truly change the way that we play games and I cannot wait to get my hands on it! HOLIDAY 2010

Futuristic Fashion

Okay, anyone that knows me knows that I loves my fashion. This is a piece by famed and world renowned fashion designer, Thierry Mugler. Known for his structural works of art, Mugler has been a "go-to" designer house for many fashion forward celebrities. This very detailed leather jacket is being rocked by high fashion model, Iris Strubegger.

Many do not know that Mugler has also signed a licensing agreement with jewelry making legends, Swarovski, to create a beauty line. Swarovski Beauty will include fragrances, makeup and beauty accessories that will incorporate the designer's cutting edge style mixed with the class of the Swarovski name. The first fragrance coming out of the merger is ANGEL, which stars Naomi Watts in the advertisement. Check it out below.
